Track Facts

Some facts about the track:

• The grant for the planning is from Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado.  This is their first collaboration with a public school.

• The trail will be dug out by a contractor and then 250 Americorp volunteers and the 8th graders will fill in the track.

• The 200 tons of crusher fine needed will be donated, it will be trucked in at cost

• All of the food to feed the volunteers will be donated by Anthony's Pizza, Einstein's Bagels, Whole Foods, and others

• The trail at Holm will be cleaned up and a new layer of crusher fine will be added

• The grounds of both schools will be cleaned and weeded

• Trees and flowers will be planted at Hamilton

• Americorp volunteers will talk to the students about volunteerism

• We need parent volunteers, mainly to pick up food donations and help serve lunch.  Parents can either email me or call me at 303-300-9698

• We could save $$ if we could dispose of the dirt ourselves, any ideas are welcome.
