Mendoza’s Weekly Message

Posted September 29, 2021

Dear Hamilton Parents, Guardians, and Community,

Happy Fall! We are very excited for the cooler weather in our building! Fall is always a beautiful time of the year here in Colorado.  I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and colors soon. Our scholars are adjusting to their schedules, routines, and expectations and we are now focusing on rigorous and relevant instruction. Teachers have given baseline assessments and set goals for your child.

I wanted to remind all of you that along with the beautiful weather in the Fall, October Count is this week.  October Count is the official student membership headcount for all Colorado Public School Districts. When students are enrolled, scheduled, and in attendance as of the official count day, the district receives funding for each student. Please make sure your student is in attendance every day and every class period.

Because we were not able to have an in-person meet and greet at the beginning of school for back-to-school night, we are happy to announce we will be having a small fall fest/ meet and greet on Tuesday, October 5th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The event is on the back patio and field. Teachers will be present and we will have a few food trucks available for you to purchase dinner. There will be music, a few games and information booths for our families. We hope to meet you soon.

Our first CSC meeting will be on October 12, 2021, at 5:30 pm. We will have an orientation for all new members. Thank you to those of you that sent an application you will be receiving notice of acceptance soon.

We look forward to seeing all of you on October 5th for the Fall Community Festival. Have a great week.

Respectfully,

Ana M Mendoza, Interim Principal
