Important Dates After Spring Break

Thur, April 8Infrastructure trail day: this is to check that all computers are CMAS ready, and our tech is updated. All in-person students will participate.
Mon, April 12Math CMAS testing grades 6 and 8 (ALL STUDENTS)
9:00-2:45: Math CMAS testing for in-person AND virtual 6th and 8th graders
9:00-3:15pm:  7th grade remote learning
6th and 8th grade who opt-out will have asynchronous work
Tues, April 13 & Wed, April 14CMAS for any student with a TIME ACCOMMODATION (will be contacted by your IEP or 504 managers).
9:00-3:15 CMAS for all 6th, 7th, 8th graders with time accommodations
All other students have virtual-learning day

Opting In

You can opt your student into the test that the aren’t being given.

  • For 7th Grade this is Math
  • For 6th & 8th Grade this is English Language Arts

Health & Safety

Personal Protection for Staff & Students

  • Staff and students are required to wear a mask at all times except when eating, drinking, or on a mask break. 
  • Maintain 6’  Distance everywhere except in the classroom 3’ is acceptable. 
  •  If wearing a face shield, it must be worn with a mask.
  • Wash hands every 2 hours.  Use sanitizer every class period and when not able to wash hands. 
  • Gators and bandanas are strongly discouraged.
  • Staff will use Plexiglass barriers in addition to wearing a mask when meeting with students one on one.

Health Screenings Every Day

  1. Complete your health screening at home before you leave for school. You will need to show evidence that you have completed your health screening. 
  2. If you have not completed your health screening at home, your teacher will conduct a health screening in addition to taking your temperature.  
  3. If you aren’t well enough to come to school, please stay home. If you come to school while sick you will be escorted to a safe space, and we’ll call your family to pick you up.
    1. We will respect your privacy and this will be confidential.

Teachers and ALL staff also complete a health screening before they leave their house and when they arrive at school before they can enter the building.


Arrival & Dismissal

Arrival – 8:50 am

Student drop off – back parking lot off  E Dartmouth Ave.

Join your classmates outside at your grade level door when you arrive. Do not mix with your classmates. Keep your distance. All students go to advisory teacher.

Complete your health screening at home when possible.  We will always take your temperature before you enter the building.

Maintain Social Distance & Wear a Mask

  • 6th grade doors on field by Holm Elementary.
  • 7th grade doors on field in the middle of field.
  • 8th grade doors on back patio adjacent to main entrance.
  • Newcomers – Door near softball field

Dismissal – At the end of testing

Students will be escorted out the building by their teacher at the end of the testing day.  Students will need to go straight home.

Students will be dismissed through their grade level doors.  These are the same doors they enter through in the morning. 

If early dismissal causes safety concerns for the family, please contact Gwen Victor and Amber Shearer and we will work with your family on an alternative plan.

  • Thursday, April 15: 2:30-2:45pm
  • Friday, April 16: 11:45am-12:pm (students will pick up lunch as they leave)

Learning After Spring Break

  • We will be bringing back all A and B students together.
  • We will maintain 3 feet of distance between all students in classrooms
  • We will maintain 6 feet of distance during meals.
  • If you have a virtual student who would like to be in person, we will be sending out a form and we will make determinations based on space in classrooms and cohorts.

As of now we will have an asynchronous Wednesday the first week back.

The second week back we will follow the CMAS schedule above.

The third week we will be announcing if we are still asynchronous on Wednesdays or if we will be in person.
