Winter Weather Procedure and Transportation Reminders

In anticipation of colder weather, we wanted to make sure you have the information you need for when the weather affects the school day. Please note that the decision to close or delay school will be made by the superintendent based on information provided by representatives from DPS Transportation Services, transportation agencies, and the weather bureau.DPS is committed to informing you about school closures or delays as early as possible – with the goal to make the call by 5 a.m. This flier explains how Transportation Services operates if school is canceled or goes remote because of weather. Learn more about our weather delay and cancellation procedures here.
