Denver Public Schools divides the school year into five sports seasons:

• Early Fall –Late August to Early October
  • Cross Country, Boys Soccer, Girls Softball, Boys Volleyball
• Late Fall –Early October to Late November
  •  Flag Football, Volleyball, 6th grade volleyball
• Winter –Early December to Mid February
  •  Boys & Girls Basketball
• Early Spring– Late January  to Mid March
  • Boys & Girls Floor Hockey
• Spring – Early February to Mid May

My Spark Program

My Spark Denver is a pilot program with the City of Denver to increase participation in youth extracurriculars for 4,000 DPS middle school students who qualify for free or reduced lunch (FRL). Each participant will receive a debit card with $1,000 to spend on approved activities like sports, arts, and or tutoring. Enrollment will open on August 14th on a first-come, first-serve basis. As part of the application for My Spark, families will upload FRL verification using one of the following methods:

• Apply online via myschoolapps.com and upload a screenshot of the verification email 
• Complete the attached FRL form, get it signed by their school, and upload a copy to the website  

Our goal is to reach as many families as possible and help them apply. We would love your support! If you have any additional questions you can reach us at info@mysparkdenver.org.
