Hello Hamilton Families,

We were so happy to see our Huskies again after the long break. Thank you for a great first week of Quarter 3!

Hamilton Teacher Highlight

Congratulations to Ms. Sangeetha Appavoo, the Senior Team Lead and member of the Unified Arts Team at Hamilton, who was recently recognized accross Denver Public Schools for demonstrating the DPS core value of Equity!

“Sangeetha is new to our school and to DPS this year, but has gone above and beyond during our remote learning to reach out to every student and help meet their needs. She has built incredible relationships with families and spends much of her time outside of class by helping students succeed in all of their classes. Sangeetha goes well beyond her content area when helping students. Beyond that, she is extremely attentive to the emotional needs of our middle school scholars during this time. She has built a trusting connection with so many middle school students in such a short time. As a result, Sangeetha is deeply attuned to the struggles the students are facing and actively works to help them. Truly, she is an extraordinarily caring adult for our students, and that has value beyond words during this time.” — Joel Mollman, Hamilton Middle School
