Important Dates & Information

Posted January 14, 2021

Hi Hamilton Families,

I am writing to review key dates and times for your planning. While we reviewed these in our Town Hall, I want to be sure you have the most updated information for your reference.

  • Tuesday, 1/19 will be an asynchronous day for our students. Teachers will be giving students lessons to complete independently. Importantly, we will have a school-wide lesson that is required of all students on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and leadership. All staff are in training to prepare for hybrid learning.
  • Wednesday 1/20: Students all return to their regular, virtual/remote learning schedule.
  • Orientation for in-person students will follow this schedule (note the revised dates, as announced prior). Unfortunately, no transportation is available, unless a student has IEP-supported transportation. We need all families of in-person students to promptly drop-off and pick up their students according to this schedule, or have their in-person student walk home at the dismissal time. We will review arrival and drop/off procedures in coming communications and with students.
    • Tuesday 1/26: 6th grade in-person students have orientation.
      • 9-11:15am: 6th grade Group A students only (so at 11:15pm, we need all Group A 6th graders picked up or walk home)
      • 1-3:15pm: 6th grade Group B students only
      • All other students are remote learning
    • Wednesday, 1/27: 7th grade in-person students have orientation.
      • 9-11:15am: 7th grade Group A students only
      • 1-3:15pm: 7th grade Group B students only
      • All other students are remote learning
    • Thursday, 1/28: 8th grade in-person students have orientation.
      • 9-11:15am: 8th grade Group A students only
      • 1-3:15pm: 8th grade Group B students only
      • All other students are remote learning
    • Note: If not in orientation, your student will be in remote learning.
  • Monday, February 1: First official day of our hybrid model. Note this important, weekly schedule for in-person students.
    • Monday-Tuesday: In-person Group A students ONLY
    • Wednesday: ALL virtual/remote learning
    • Thursday-Friday: In-person Group B students ONLY
    • Remote-only students continue in their regular, remote schedules.

I know this is a lot of information to navigate as a community. We will be frequently working with our students in the coming weeks to inform them and prepare them, too, for all of this. We will work together to keep growing and improving through this change, as we are stronger together as Huskies! I am thankful for our collaboration and togetherness as a school. Wishing you health and safety in this time.

Sincerely,

Christian
