Happy 2023 Hamilton Families!
Happy to announce that we are starting GT small groups next week. Students were able to vote on and then choose from a variety of topics which will focus on extending thinking and a love for learning, through Destination Imagination, math challenges, the Panasonic Eco Challenge, and book studies. Depending on the topic, these groups will take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, during the school day, once every other week. Students will be marked absent if they do not attend their small group meetings.
It may help to add small group details to your student’s calendar or planner. Here is an article about how planners can help students, specifically for students with ADHD but also helpful for most.
Looking for some creativity inspiration? Missing the greenery and sounds of summertime? Check out the unique work by David M. Bird, who creates little figures from acorns and photographs them in nature. In this video, he tries very hard to capture an oriole. And check out David’s site. Challenge your scholar to think about what kind of creations you can make with things in and around your home. I would love to hear about what you create!
I will be checking in with students and teachers on ALP progress this month. In the meantime, please reach out with any questions.
Have a great rest of your week and be sure to check out these opportunities:
