Dear Hamilton Community,
We have entered that time of year when the Hamilton faculty and staff plan for and administer the annual Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments to our students.
On March 23rd we collected Chromebooks assigned to Hamilton students who were present. The reason for collecting the devices is to ensure they are in proper working order to complete this year’s computer-based, CMAS assessments in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and for 8th graders only, Science.
We will store Chromebooks in classrooms for students to use during testing and instruction until the end of April when all CMAS activities conclude for this academic year. We ask that you please have your students bring their chargers to school as soon as they are able after spring break.
If you are interested in opting your student out of participating in this year’s CMAS assessments, please use the links below to print out the Non-Participation Request for Assessments form, complete and return to Hamilton as soon as possible. Student absences will be excused during scheduled CMAS assessment days only if the Opt-Out form is turned in to the school; otherwise the absence is unexcused.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact your student’s grade level administrator.
Sincerely,
Fernanda Dillon Rachel Langberg Christine Manzanares
