Ramadan Information for Hamilton’s Muslim Community/Información de Ramadán para la comunidad musulmana de Hamilton

During Ramadan, Hamilton Middle School is able to allow Muslim students to go to the library at the end of Advisory, during lunch, to fast and pray. Ms. Howyda Syedahmed will be present to supervise and assist students. She will also be able to provide prayer mats.

• Times:
  • 6th Grade – 12:25-1:05
  • 7th Grade – 11:25-12:05
  • 8th Grade – 1:25-2:05

We understand that these times may not exactly match the midday prayer times, however, this is what the school can offer to ensure that your students do not lose important academic learning time in class.

• Expectations:
  • Students will follow Ms. Howyda’s expectations, as well as the school expectations.
  • Students will be respectful of the library environment, furniture, and books.
  • Students will pick up after themselves.
  • Students will remain in the library until their next class starts.
