Our 6th-grade team of Alejandro Alvizo-Lupercio, Ashley Gonzalez-Rojas, and Sophie Hockett completed a semester-long GT project on Ocean Awareness and the impact of littering. Their project placed in the top 5 teams in Colorado for the Panasonic Eco Challenge. The Panasonic Student Eco Citizenship Program asks students in grades 5-8 to define environmental issues, create actions to solve the issue, apply the actions in their community to help solve the problem and lastly evaluate their actions conducted, and share their results. Let’s hear it for these Eco Citizens!
