Denver Housing Authority (DHA) lottery: DHA is opening its 2024 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Lottery for 48 hours on Thursday, September 21, and Friday, September 22. The lottery entry period will run from 12:01 AM on 9/21 to 11:59 PM on 9/22. Click here to apply on the Denver Housing Authority website. If you need internet and computer access, visit your nearest Denver Public Library branch or call 720-865-1111 for locations and hours of operation. DHA also offers two Opportunity Centers for computer access; they are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM located at Westwood Homes at 855 South Irving Street and North Lincoln Homes at 1401 Mariposa Street. 

Basic cash assistance for households: Beginning September 12, people can now apply for a one-time, direct cash assistance of $1,000 or $1,500 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund. This initiative is aimed at helping eligible Denver families disproportionally and negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to learn more and see if you qualify

Call for support for arriving migrants: Please help support the migrant community by donating essential items. You can help provide crucial resources and support to those in need. The city’s donation location is the Richard T. Castro Human Services Center (1200 N Federal Blvd, 80204). Click here for more information and a list of most needed items. RTD’s zero fare for youth: From September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024, youth ages 19 and under can ride RTD for free! Click here for more information.
