Denver Housing Authority (DHA) lottery: DHA is opening its 2024 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Lottery for 48 hours on Thursday, September 21, and Friday, September 22. The lottery entry period will run from 12:01 AM on 9/21 to 11:59 PM on 9/22. Click here to apply on the Denver Housing Authority website. If you need internet and computer access, visit your nearest Denver Public Library branch or call 720-865-1111 for locations and hours of operation. DHA also offers two Opportunity Centers for computer access; they are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM located at Westwood Homes at 855 South Irving Street and North Lincoln Homes at 1401 Mariposa Street.
Basic cash assistance for households: Beginning September 12, people can now apply for a one-time, direct cash assistance of $1,000 or $1,500 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund. This initiative is aimed at helping eligible Denver families disproportionally and negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to learn more and see if you qualify.
