We hurt for those who have already lost their lives just by being present as well as their families and friends. We’re angry and scared for the innocent civilians that are at risk of becoming casualties of this war and blamed for the violence that they’re suffering from. We feel all of these things a continent away, knowing that we don’t and never will feel the complexities and depth of emotions that those directly impacted are feeling and will continue to feel for years to come.
There is no illness for which there is no relief. The trauma that results from times of violence and war can be treated through mental health services. Access to these services can be hard to come by, which is why Maria Droste is offering 3 free sessions for anyone affected by the violence in Israel through the War in Israel Community Mental Health Program.
Maria Droste stands for peace and the end of oppression, calls for our world leaders to stand against the atrocities that are being committed, and will continue to work towards a mentally healthy community.
