I am honored to be with the students at Hamilton Middle School. These amazing young people are leaders of change. Soon they will demonstrate how to enhance the mental health of their teachers, parents, siblings, friends, and neighbors so that each feels appreciated, respected, loved, valued for their uniqueness, and empowered to fulfill their dreams.

$1,000 to Pursue Your Passion and Find Your Spark | 1,000 dólares para seguir tu pasión y encontrar tu chispa
My Spark Denver provides eligible DPS middle school families with $1,000 to pay for youth programs like sports, music, art and more. Enrolled families will receive a $1,000 debit card that can only be used to enroll their student in one of the programs participating in My Spark Denver. After a student and their family has received their My Spark Card, they can sign up for the extracurricular or afterschool programs of their choice. APPLY TODAY!
How does it work?

Be the guiding force in shaping young minds with the LeAP (Leadership and Service) program in Hamilton!
We’re seeking a community member to lead a 8-week program, running from February 5th to April 5th. Your role? Facilitate weekly sessions, mentor bright students, and cultivate an atmosphere that sparks leadership and community service.
As a gesture of appreciation, here’s what we offer: 📚 LeAP program curriculum. 🤝 Ongoing support from LeAP coordinator, and compensation starting at $20/hour for non-instructional staff and $23/hour for instructional. The HMS Talent Show coming soon! Auditions for the talent show will be held on January 11th, 4:15-5:30 in the drama room. A dress rehearsal will be held on January 19th from 4:15-5:30 in the theater. The show is January 24th, 5:00-6:00. All talent is welcome! There will be judges and prizes awarded. Please see Ms. Andi Leggett or Mr. Moose with any questions.
