“Kris is an art teacher, THE Hamilton House Champion, everyone’s favorite teacher and a heck of an advocate for all students. Kris has started the Hamilton House system, complete with reward days, house shirts, celebrations, and so many chips! The kids have loved and embraced being a part of a team and winning together! Her system includes teachers, staff and all of our students, so we really are Four Houses, One Hamilton! She does this on top of running a Grade A classroom where students feel fully self-expressed, dive into their creativity and understand themselves more as humans. I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for Ms. Sheikhan. She just does it all, makes it look easy and loves everyone in the process.”

The purpose of the task force is to build a DPS Engagement and Empowerment Blueprint that will identify the strategies that the FACE team will use to support schools in order to improve family-school relationships and trust. Childcare & Dinner will be provided at all in-person meetings. Learn more here.

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department is partnering with Periscope Theory to deep dive into what community engagement means to the DPS community. With this information we can better partner with you, our families and schools, to support your needs!
We are hosting 3 opportunities starting next week and we need your help getting the word out to families.

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 14th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, and join us in celebrating the diversity of the Hamilton community.
In partnership with Holm Elementary, enjoy displays from different countries, music, tastes of food from around the world, student performances, and more! This event promises to be a fun and educational evening for our families.
