Bare Necessities Drive — Supporting DPS Families

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department’s Bare Necessities campaign focuses on providing essential clothing items to families in our district. We’re partnering with local businesses and community organizations to collect new packages of socks and underwear of all sizes for DPS students and families. The drive runs from March through May. Donation bins are located on each floor of the Central Office. If you have questions or know of a local business that would like to host a bin at their location, check out this flyer or contact volunteer_services@dpsk12.net.

Statewide Public Comment Opportunity for Families- 4/28 deadline

The 1241: Accountability, Accreditation, Student Performance, and Resource Inequity Task Force invites you to share your experiences with the state’s accountability system, what you would like to preserve about it, and whether there are ways you think the state’s accountability system could better advance academic opportunities and address academic inequities for Colorado’s students.

The survey is open through April 28, 2024. Task Force members will consider all responses over the course of their upcoming task force meetings.

We invite all members of the public – from statewide education-focused organizations to individual members and communities – to use this survey to provide task force members with general and/or specific input on Colorado’s accountability system. Everyone’s voice counts!

For more information on the task force, upcoming meeting dates, and to learn more about what the task force has considered thus far, we encourage you to visit the task force website and subscribe to the task force’s email contact list.

If you are in need of language assistance to sign up for the email contact list or to share your comments with the task force, please contact accountabliity@cde.state.co.us for assistance. Note that requests may take up to five days to be processed.
