From the Principal’s Desk

Greetings Hamilton Families!

We are now into October and hopefully Fall weather is not too far away. It’s been a busy week but we have a short week ahead!

Thank you to all families who came for our first night of Parent-Teacher Conferences Thursday evening. The next one will be held on Tuesday, October 8th. If you are still looking for spots, please check this link to see availability.

For the month of September, Hamilton was in the top 5 secondary schools in all of DPS, with 90% daily attendance. This is a great achievement as student growth and daily attendance are directly connected.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing students on Monday.

Onward,
Dr. Mark Fritzenschaft

Principal

Saturday School at Hamilton

Hello Parents & Guardians,

My name is Eric Lund and I teach 8th grade Social Studies at Hamilton Middle School.

We have exciting news! Hamilton is bringing backSaturday School! This presents a wonderful opportunity for students to enhance their skills in Math, Literacy, and Science.
With a student-to-teacher ratio of just 1-10, individualized attention is guaranteed!
We believe this is a fantastic chance for your child to gain valuable skills in Literacy, Math, and Science, which will prove beneficial as they continue to progress in their educational journey.

If you are not convinced, please look at the data trends from DPS students who attended Saturday School last year:

  • There was a 5 % point increase in the number of Saturday School participants scoring at English Grade Level & Above from Fall 2023 to Spring 2024.
  • There was a 19% point increase in Saturday School participants scoring a 3 or 4 on their Term 3 Math Course grade compared to Term 1.

Saturday School Semester 1 is every Saturday, starting from October 5, 2023, to December 14, 2023 from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Please note that there will be no Saturday School on October 12 and November 30.
Saturday School is FREE!
Breakfast and a snack will be provided for all students.

If you have any questions or would like to sign your middle school student(s) up for Saturday School,
please email me at
eric_lund@dpsk12.net

Thanks!
Eric Lund
