Hamilton Headlines

Dear Families,

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend ahead. Our Huskies will be back at school on Tuesday, February 18th. On Wednesday, February 19th, students will take their Spring Interim assessments. Interims are snapshots that help teachers determine what students need to know to be successful on state assessments.

Upcoming Events

We look forward to seeing families at the Family Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 20, and Tuesday, February 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Details on how to sign up are included in the email sent to you today.

Early Release and PL Days

This is a friendly reminder that students will be released at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 24th, for staff professional learning. They can then grab lunch before heading home.

There is no school on Friday, February 28th, for a staff Hamilton Professional Learning Day.

Weekly Recap

A huge shout-out to our girls’ Volleyball team for their win on Tuesday against Denver Green!

We are also excited to share a unique learning experience for our Medical Detectives class! In connection with SPARK, Hamilton Middle sent 23 7th-grade students in Mr. Devers’ Medical Detectives classes to the CSU Spur this past Tuesday. Students participated in a virtual reality dissection room. They also learned how horses can help humans with mental and physical disabilities while watching them in action. Students watched a cat and a dog get prepped for surgery, and finally, they toured the greenhouse and water buildings on site.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Best,

Jessica L. Garza

Director of Middle Schools
