Monday, Jan. 13th:

  • Student Council Meeting in room 27, 8:15 to 9:00 AM.
  • Girls Volleyball – Double header @ Hamilton. Game 1 Kepner Beacon vs Hamilton, game time 4:00 PM. Game 2 Lake vs Hamilton, game time 5:00 PM.
  • Boys Volleyball – Hamilton vs Kepner Beacon @ Owens Boys and Girls Club, game time 4:45 PM.

Tuesday, Jan. 14th:

  • Brain Bowl Practice – 8:10 to 8:55 AM, in the community room

Wednesday, Jan. 15th:

Hamilton’s Student Council is accepting donations of new/used books for all ages.

These books will be donated to Holm Elementary and local shelters. Thank you for supporting our community.

Admin Updates

Greetings Hamilton Families!

It is hard to believe that we are sending our first communication of 2025! The School Year has flown by and before you know it we will be in May. Spring semester is always a busy time with testing, holidays, and ultimately 8th Grade Continuation as we send them on to high school! We had a successful first week back in January. See below for admin updates.

  • Families will receive a letter from DPS next week concerning Hamilton’s finalized SPF (School Performance Framework) from the Colorado Department of Education. We will be sending a separate letter to provide additional context and information about this rating.
  • Round 1 of School Choice opens next Wednesday the 15th, and closes on Tuesday February 18th. If you know any families that are still thinking about their options, please encourage them to come to one of our school tours on Thursdays or on one of our scheduled Saturdays, tomorrow at 9 am or Saturday the 25th at 10am.
  • The week after MLK (a holiday on Monday January 20th), will be a busy week of testing.
    • We will have iReady testing Tuesday and Wednesday (21st and 22nd) in the morning.
    • We will have ACCESS testing Thursday and Friday (23rd & 24th). ONLY students that are ACCESS testing will be in school on those two days. Students will receive notification next week if they will need to attend for testing.
  • Attendance in class is one of the primary indicators of success! Please continue to bring your students every day and encourage them to get to class on time. Starting next week, students who have multiple tardies in a day will begin having after school detention assigned.

PTSA Upcoming Events:

  • Wednesday, January 15th @5:30pm:  General Meeting in the Community Room.  We will be voting on a lot of funding items and preparing our schedule for the remainder of the school year.  Snacks will be provided.  Please join us.
  • Thursday, January 16th:  QDOBA dine out from 4-8pm.  
  • We need board members for the 2025-2026 school year – visit our site for more information.
