Dear Huskies and Families,
At Hamilton Middle School, we are proud to offer a fully robust and well-rounded curriculum for all of our students. At Hamilton we pride ourselves on having diverse classrooms that are centered in equity and the whole child. As such, we removed the “honors” title tracking from all of our classes so that students were able to progress, accelerate, and get support at all levels of their academic journey without being tied to a track.
We do recognize that some students worked over the summer, or have had acceleration opportunities within their classes last year and have mastered the current grade level MATH standards and would like the opportunity to be skipped to the next grade level.
This is only available for students in 6th grade math, 7th grade pre-algebra, and 8th grade algebra. Students in Integrated 1 do not have an opportunity to test into Integrated 2 as we do not offer that at Hamilton.
In order for a student to skip a grade level of math, they must take and pass the three grade level district interims of the grade level they are in currently.
We will offer the first test on Friday the 27th during our long advisory period. Please fill out this survey if your scholar will be testing. They will report to room 203 and test with Mr. Feltham. You will receive the outcome of the test by Monday afternoon to determine if they qualify to take the second test.
We want to make sure that students and parents know that staying in grade level will lead students to be highly advanced on their grade level standards and ensure a strong foundation of math knowledge for high school AP and concurrent enrollment classes.

En Hamilton Middle School, nos enorgullece ofrecer un plan de estudios completo y completo para todos nuestros estudiantes. En Hamilton nos enorgullecemos de tener aulas diversas que se centran en la equidad y en el niño en su totalidad.
