Notification of Remote/Heat Day

Posted September 9, 2021

Dear Hamilton Parents and Community,

As promised, our facilities managers have monitored the heat index in our classrooms at 8:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm today in order to determine if we need to implement a remote Heat Day.

As a result of these temperature data points and in monitoring the forecast for tomorrow,  we have decided to implement a remote learning day for tomorrow Friday, September 10, 2021. This means that your scholar will have a regular school day and will follow their regular schedule for Fridays, tomorrow but will be working from home remotely rather than in person

This decision was coordinated with and approved by schools and academic/ operational leadership. We know this may be an inconvenience for many of our families so we are making a decision before 5 p, in order for you to make arrangements for child care and or supervision of your scholar tomorrow.

Here you will find a detailed description of the instructions for logging on to Schoology and remote learning. These instructions were given to your scholar today as well and a copy of the bell schedule with times for Friday Huskie schedule so you will know their schedule. Scholar’s individual class schedules are on the student portal and they will be following Huskie day.

We will have a support help live on google code: Hamiltonhelp and administration will be available at our direct extensions listed below for assistance.  I am, as always available to answer any questions you may have regarding the remote Heat Day. Thank you again for your continued support of our school, and I very much appreciate your patience as we successfully navigate through this new normal.

Sincerely,
