This year has flown by and it is time for a well-deserved break. There has been a lot going on at Hamilton lately from celebrations to House prizes and even an original theater production! See highlights and news updates below.
Big shoutout to Mr. Moose and all of those students involved in the drama production last Friday and Saturday! It was definitely an experience to remember.
Students who had 90% or higher attendance between October 15th and November 15th got treated to root beer floats yesterday. Daily attendance is extremely important for our students to learn everything they need to! Students who have 90% attendance or higher between now and December 15th will receive a treat the week of December 16th!
Congratulations to AMISTAD House for winning the November House Competition! Those students attended Skate City today as part of their award.
The 8th grade student-staff basketball game was held today and was a great success! The 8th graders put on a hard-fought game, but the teachers ended up prevailing.
This time of year can see a rise in student behaviors due to all the changes in routines. We have noticed an increasing number of students who are wearing hoods inside the building. This can pose a safety issue as it is challenging to identify students when hoods are up. Please talk with your student about the importance of meeting this school expectation. Students who continue to wear the hood up will have their hoodies confiscated and a parent will need to come and pick it up. Repeated incidents will have the student banned from wearing a hoodie in the building.
As an additional level of support for students, starting December 2nd, after school and Saturday detention will begin. More details will be shared when we return.
