8th-Grade Events and Last Week of School for all Students
We have so many amazing things happening in Hamilton and we want you to be a part of it too. We want YOU to inspire our community by giving your opinion in this short survey on monthly training and workshops. We want you to be excited about our future partnerships and collaborations.

Ethically Power Your Community Event
DU students are hosting an event as part of a service-based Business Ethics Class and invite a limited number of students and their parents to participate in a fun FREE day of volunteering and giving back with an emphasis on experiencing ethical principles. Declining Enrollment Advisory Committee Wants to Hear from You
The broader community feedback is important in this process, and the Declining Enrollment Advisory Committee would like to hear from you. Over the next few weeks, the committee will begin to draft and finalize criteria recommendations to ensure DPS creates a fair and equitable process for closing or consolidating schools due to declining enrollment. THIS FUN EVENT INCLUDES:

8th Grade Continuation and 8th grade Dance
Continuation will be held on Friday, May 27th from 5:30-7:00 pm. Each student may bring 3 guests to the event and children under 2 years old do not count as a guest but they must be on the lap of an adult. We are putting a slide together for continuation and need your help. Please consider sharing your photos with Hamilton by filling out a quick form here.
Registration for 2022-23 School Year
All new and returning Hamilton students must register each school year. Early bird online registration starts May 2nd-May 20th. Register through the Parent Portal. The following items are needed to register your child at Hamilton Middle School:

Studentreasures Publishing
Hamilton MI students will be published authors in Studentreasures Publishing! Our students wrote a classroom book entitled Kindness Experiences from the MI students at Hamilton Middle School.

Girls Exploring STEM Opportunity
7th-grade girls are invited to the Girls Exploring STEM field trip. Students will participate in workshops and meet engineering professionals from a wide range of STEM fields. Students will need to arrive by 7:40 am on May 17th to get on the bus. Permission and Photo Release forms are available in the main office and the STEM lab (room 25) and must be turned in by May 5th. If you have questions please reach out to Mrs. Anderson-Duncan at h_anderson-duncan@dpsk12.net, or by text at (720) 500-3431, or stop by room 25 for more details.
Denver Art Museum Showcasing Hamilton Students
Let’s celebrate our Hamilton Artists! Next week, there are 2 opportunities to view student artwork:
Students have 10 pieces of artwork on display at the Denver Art Museum from May 5th-May26th. Support our students and visit the display if you can. Congratulations to: Quincy Sihon, Isabel Shearer, Landon Spaulding, Ariam Cox, Abigail Napitupulu, Hadley Gannon, Kyra Ensafian, Paige Nathan, and Veronica Ryan.
Students will also have artwork on display at East High School on Thursday, May 12th from 5:30-8 pm. Congratulations to: Cora Grabel, Cerina Hunt, Hadley Gannon, November Peterson, Kai Al-Tamimi, Raneem Alnasir, Andre Guy, William Cordova, Ihssane Riad, Addison Weber, Kayla Braman, Minerva Benissan, Aaron Garcia-Rodriguez, Kyra Ensafian, Amira Lahyani, Amy Hamill, Brooklynn Dent, Mia Pratt, Simone DiFalco, and Tristan Rendon.

Staff Appreciation Week
Thank you to all the parents, guardians, and family members that supported the staff and PTSA during staff appreciation week. We were able to provide food and goodies all week long because of your generous donations. Thank you for the Kudoboard messages and for continuing to purchase items off the Amazon wish list. It was a successful week of showing our amazing Hamilton staff that we really care about them and all that they do for our kids.
