All library books need to be returned to the library before June 1st to avoid charges.

8th Grade End of Year Events

Reminders for 8th Grade Continuation: Save the Date for June 2nd from 5:30-7 pm. Each student may bring 3 guests to the event and children under 2 years old do not count as a guest but they must be on the lap of an adult. The auditorium gets warm when it’s packed. Bring a fan and water. Please dress your best and be on time. Late entries may not get a seat.

The Denver Public Schools Culture, Equity & Leadership Team (CELT) is excited to offer a summer program for incoming 9th-grade students to learn more about themselves, their cultural identities and gifts, and to develop their leadership skills in a fun and joyful ways that include workshops, numerous field trips, and more! CELT strives to provide engaging, culturally-relevant student learning and leading opportunities and experiences that build trust within the communities our district serves. This new summer program is being offered as part of the district’s efforts to ensure equitable opportunities especially for (but not exclusive to) our diverse student populations. DPS Asian Education Advisory Council Hamilton Winners

Our Hamilton instrumental teacher, Priscilla Shaw was asked to present at the DPS Asian Education Advisory Council Award Ceremony last night.

Congratulations to Safa Yesir who was the Middle School Academic Winner.

Congratulations to Kenna (Jae) Murakami who was the Middle School Special Talent Winner.


Student Council

Student Council had a successful cleanup day last weekend. Thank you all for the wonderful work you did.

Registration for 2022-23 School Year

All new and returning Hamilton students must register each school year. Early bird online registration starts May 2nd-May 20th. Register through the Parent Portal. The following items are needed to register your child at Hamilton Middle School:

  • New students to DPS
    • Birth certificate
    • Proof of address (utility bill, lease agreement)
    • Immunization records
  • Returning Students
    • Proof of address
    • Updated immunization records

Important Information on Transportation

The Opt-In Program for the 2022-23 school year will go live April 15 and close June 30. Read more here


Note from TJ

Hello class of 2026 TJ families!!! We are excited to share that we will be hosting a 9th grade orientation night on May 24th starting at 6:00 pm! This will be the best time to see your schedule for next year, and if needed, make adjustments to that schedule (if you’ve changed your mind on classes or if your first choices were full). You will also have a chance to get a tour of the school and meet some of the TJ faculty. We’d love to see you there!

Students in DPS who love music and/or singing are invited to a summer camp at TJ! There is a flyer with more information.

Denver Art Museum Showcasing Hamilton Students

Students have 10 pieces of artwork on display at the Denver Art Museum from May 5th-May26th. Support our students and visit the display if you can. Hamilton Baseball made it to the 2nd round of playoffs. Congratulations on winning the home playoff and being 2nd in the division.

PTSA News 

Kona Truck is coming to Hamilton

Wednesday, June 1st $5 per Kona cup Kids who ride the bus will be able to buy tickets ahead of time to be exchanged for their Kona cup. Bus riders will be dismissed at 3:30 pm to create their Kona treat. They will board the buses at their normally scheduled time. Kids who walk or take cars will be dismissed at the normal time and can purchase a Kona treat after school 20% of sales goes to Hamilton PTSA to support school projects and funding requests.

Thank you to everyone that supported our Skate City Beach night. The kids that were able to make it had a great time. We look forward to more events like this next school year.
